Think balloons are for kiddie birthday parties and circus acts?

Not so, dear Bride!

Balloons can add a festive, glamorous, and fun touch to any celebration – especially weddings! If you’re looking for a way to transform a so-so location to a swanky location, read on!

Depth Management

Balloons will add a certain level of depth to your wedding day, turning virtually any hall into a festive scene!

When decorating with balloons, think up, down, and everywhere in between. Balloons can swirl around the floor, creating a whimsical dance floor. They can fall from the sky, surprising and delighting guests. They can decorate doorways, pedestals, tables and so much more. You can even add very small balloons into bouquets for a splash of extra color and detail!

Go Pro

For elaborate décor, don’t do it all yourself! A balloon decorating company can do wonders for you – and it’s often surprisingly affordable! What can a professional do that you can’t? If you love the look and feel of balloons falling on the dance floor from the ceiling, they can arrange this for you using a professional balloon net. They can create amazing “exploding balloon” arrangements, which will thrill your guests and be the perfect special effect during your first dance. Balloon sculptures, centerpieces, arches, and topiaries are all possibilities: in your wedding colors, of course!

 Cloud like Results

Use white balloons to create mounds of fairy-tale like clouds! Have white cloud-shaped topiaries made out of balloons, hanging high above each table to create an enchanted ambiance. Add touches of light blue and silver, and have stars hanging down to create a real sky-like interior!

Functional Beauty

Balloons can serve a function beyond simply looking grand. Consider using arches of balloons to show guests where the dance floor begins and ends. Showcase a table with your gust book by showing it off with enchanting balloons. You can use balloons to cover up any eyesores such as electrical boxes, unnecessary doors, or other flaws in your venue. Make your head table really stand out by having a backdrop of balloons behind you.

Outdoor Elegance

Balloons aren’t only for indoor celebrations! Take them outside – have a beautiful arch created to show off where your aisle begins. A combination of ribbon and balloon clusters can create a walkway to guide guests to the seating area. Balloon releases, though romantic, are not good for the environment so try to avoid any fly-aways. The ultimate outdoor balloon? A hot air balloon –ready to take your guest for an air-borne spin while you sneak off for your photo shoot.

Balloons can be a surprisingly stunning and stylish addition to any sort of wedding – from a small garden affair to a large urban reception! Choose colors that compliment the rest of your decor, make sure you’ve got a good plan of action in terms of set-up, and enjoy your day!

Wedding reception balloon decorations can add an enchanting feel to your wedding and wedding reception.

As a general rule of thumb, a couple can plan on spending between 10% and 20% of the total wedding budget on decorations for the ceremony and reception.

I think that you will agree with me when I say that nothing says "celebration" like balloons.

You can use them to set the mood, help create a theme, and make lasting memories.

One thing is for sure,  balloons don't have to be just for the reception. They can also be used for the ceremony and for other parties.

Uses for Balloon Decorations

At the Ceremony

  • Entrance- to show your guests where to enter
  • Driveway or Parking Lot- again this signals to your guests where they can park, makes navigation a lot easier for them
  • Foyer- if you use bouquets, these can be moved later to the reception.
  • Pew Decor- add more of a festive, celebratory feel rather than just using bows or flowers
  • Arch - also could be a trellis or gazebo. Use as a way to enter the ceremony, or if it outside, you could even consider using a balloon archas a back drop to the ceremony.
  • Altar - balloons aloneor mixed with flowers can make wonderful altar decorations.
  • Flower Girl - what little girlwould not be entranced by balloons.
  • Getaway Car - besides the "Just Married" sign, decorate the car with balloons in your wedding colors!
  • Photo Backdrop- balloons can be colorful and well suited for a photo backdrop

At the Reception

  • Driveway or Parking Lot- as with the ceremony, this will tell your guests where it is okay for them to park and helps with navigation.
  • Entrances- I hate not knowing where to go and so do your guests, leave a trail of balloons in your wedding colors and make it easy as pie for them to find your wedding reception
  • Cocktail or Bar Areas- use wedding reception decorations balloons to point out important areas of interest to them at your reception
  • Stage- again an important area of interest you might want to look nice for your guests to look at.
  • Head Table- this one is a no brainer! Wedding reception decorations balloons can add to a beautiful display behind the head table or on. They are also great for covering up the blank wall behind the head table or if there is something on the wall that you would like covered up!
  • Guest Tables- how about incorporating some wedding reception decorations balloons into a cheap and easy centerpiece. Use tall bouquets or short, squatty bunches so as not to block views. Tall bouquets will actually help to fill up all that empty space between the floor and high ceilings
  • Cake Table- not only can you use balloons on the cake table for decoration, but why not use them as the cake topper as well!
  • Buffet Table- if you plan to have your reception dinner buffet style, why not decorate it will be a major part of your wedding reception
  • Punch Table- if you are having a punch table either while guests are waiting to enter the reception or at the reception, wedding reception decorations balloons are a great way to liven up the area.
  • Gift Table- again, wedding reception decorations balloons are a great way to signal an important aspect of your reception.
  • Dance Floor- placing balloon bouquets strategically around the dance floor area will give you and your guests the feeling that you are dancing in the clouds
  • Disc Jockey Table- again a great way to enhance.
  • Favors- makes a great party favor
  • Photo Backdrop- use arches as backdrops for wonderful wedding photos.
  • Balloon Drop- Do a balloon drop either as the newlywed couple enters and is introduced or at the end of the reception
  • Balloon Release - instead of releasing doves or butterflies, how about balloons?

And not only are balloons great decorations for your wedding ceremony and reception, but also think of some of these other great times to use them:

  • Bachelor or Bachelorette Party
  • Bridal Showers
  • Rehearsal Dinner
  • EngagementParties
  • Welcome and Thank-you Gifts
